Welcome to Our Pregnancy Blog!

Hello everyone! WE MISS YOU! Since we are almost 1,000 miles away from most of our family and friends we wanted to make a blog so that you can follow our pregnancy with us! We can not wait to meet our little "peanut"! Our due date is January 30th, 2011, just in time for a New York City winter. Peanut is already taking after Mom born in December, and Dad born in January. Hopefully he/she wont mind the cold!

So as many of you know we have already picked out the baby names. If it is a girl the name is Elizabeth Sofia and if it is a boy the name will be Ethan Tomasz. Also if you have not guessed the title of our blog has been Jessi's recent cravings. Pickles saved her from nausea during the first trimester and during the second trimester its been cream cheese, orange juice, and cucumbers. In addtion we have made several late night trips for ice cream....we finally just bought a few Ben and Jerrys for the freezer!

OUR DOCTOR
We have finally found a doctor here in NYC that we both really like and have seen him twice. Jessi has seen the same doctor in Georgia for the past 6 years and was upset that he would not get to deliver the baby. After getting settled in NYC, Jessi picked a doctor out of the Aetna provider directory and did not have such good luck the first time around. After trusting our guts we decided to switch doctors. Tomasz did lots of research on the Internet and read several different rate your doctors sites and we are now seeing Dr. Jason Kanos. He is in a small practice and delivers all of his babies personally unlike much larger practices where the  doctors rotate call. The funniest part about our doctor is that his birthday is January 30th too! Guess that's a good sign! :)

THE HOSPITAL
Dr. Kanos is part of Saint Luke's Roosevelt Hospital System which lucky enough is 4 blocks from our apartment. We live on 54th & 10th  and the hospital is on 50th & 10th. We are so lucky the hospital is so close! Jessi thinks that when she goes into labor she will be able to make the 5 minute walk to the hospital...a little ambitious probably but has her mind set on it. The funniest part is that by the time Tomasz walks to get the car,  brings it around to the front,  drives and drops me off, we probably could have walked there and back. We will pr Check it out! St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital.

We will be posting some  from the past few weeks of our pregnancy to catch you up but stay tuned as our baby grows and you finally get to meet him/her!
